Bringing women together with the purpose of having fun while learning was the motivation which led Roz Bradbury to set up Sounds Like Fun back in 2010.

Keen for local women to come together to enjoy singing and making friends, Roz organised a variety of social events including pub nights and picnics, along side weekly rehearsals. Having started with just 18 women the choir has now grown to over 40 members.

The choir hosts two concerts each year raising funds for charities close to our members' hearts. Over the years, thousands of pounds have been donated to children’s groups, hospital support, pre-schools, dementia groups to name but a few. ​​

We’ve been so fortunate to have during this time three extremely talented musical directors inlcuding our longest serving MD, Jayne. Following Jayne's resignation from the role last year, we are delighted to welcome Sheila back to the team, who had previously looked after the choir while Jayne was on maternity leave.

The Sounds Like Fun repertoire is varied and includes contemporary and classic pop, songs from the shows, inspirational songs, and a little gospel.  We strive for fabulous singing whilst having fun!
